What if Corvette Were Not a Chevrolet?

Fueling speculation from old rumors about Corvette, Josh Oliver at GMSource.com today suggested attention be given to GM Media's Home Page.  Sure enough, a quick check at their website definitely shows Corvette as a separate brand alongside Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, GM Daewoo, Holden, Hummer, Opel, Pontiac, Saab, Saturn, and Vauxhall.

The implications for the hundreds of Chevrolet franchises which currently sell the Corvette are not clear at the moment.  But please consider an alternative view ....

The Corvette Blog, with our unique perspective, would like to ask: could it be that Corvette is listed as a separate brand on this website for international purposes? For example, is Corvette not being sold at Cadillac dealers in the United Kingdom? And, for example, is Corvette not about to be sold by Holden dealers in Australia?

What do you think?
