Video of the Week: 1954 Corvette TV Commercial

This Week’s Video of the Week from CorvetteBlog takes us back a few years to 1954 for this Corvette commercial on television.  Last week we looked at an awesome 1984 ad, so I thought let’s look back 30 years before THAT even and see what the advertising angle was.  I was very thrilled.  My favorite line… "For Mr. and Mrs. America in a Carefree Mood…  Boy… What a car!"  I couldn’t think of a better line.

  1. Bill says:

The narrator of this piece is early televison innovator and personality Dave Garroway. Garroway was founding host of NBC’s Today Show, presiding from 1952 to 1961. When he spoke with admiration about Corvette, America listened.
