After AutoWeek named the ZR1 the "Best in Show" at the NAIAS, now our fellow Detroit News Readers have done the same thing! The panel chose the 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 as their "Best in Show" as well.
On Friday at the Detroit Economic Club’s NAIAS luncheon, the awards were announced with great reception.
Other vehicles honored included the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon as Most Awesome Off-Road Vehicle, Chrysler Town & Country as Best Family Hauler and the Ford F-150 for Most Innovative.
The way the awards are chosen is a pretty interesting, and fun process for those of us here in Detroit. A panel of 100 readers was selected from over 1,000 applications to inspect all the vehicles and find the best of the huge show. We think Detroiters are on the pulse of the automotive industry, and again they come through by giving the Corvette top honors.
