2009 Corvette ZR1 Pricing Released

2009 Corvette ZR1At long last, Chevrolet has just released the official pricing information for the 2009 Corvette ZR1.  The starting price (including destination) is $103,300.  This is not far off from original estimates people were making of $100,000 months ago.

Here’s a breakdown of the other charges and options:

  • $ 1,700 Gas Guzzler Tax
  • $ 10,000 Option Package
  • $ 2,000 Chrome Wheels

The option package will include power-adjustable, heated and leather trimmed sport seats with the ZR1 logo, side air bags, Bose premium audio system, navigation, bluetooth, power telescoping steering column, and custom leather-wrapped interior.  We can’t imagine anyone looking to buy a ZR1 would opt to not have the option package, but you never know.

The only remaining unknown in this equation is what dealers will be charging over that MSRP.  It should be very interesting to see how this plays out and how much people will be willing to spend over sticker.

I just cant undertstand the big price increase for the 2009 corvette i mean a $10,000 option for safety(side air bags) and a bose stereo oh and couldnt forget the heated seats with the ZR 1 logo? I guess that if you are going to spend over $100,000 for it then $10,000 doesnt really matter does it. My point i think this car is way over priced i have an 03 and a 04 and didnt pay over $100,000 for both of them combined!

I was just having dinner talking with some friends this evening about the estimated price of the Blue Devil (now called ZR1).

I think the mark up will depend on the demand and will start around 10k above the MSRP. We do need to remember that most car dealers are cutting back on expensive cars because of fuel costs and the recession.

However this is no ordinary Corvette. This will go down in history as on of the greatest years ever so in that respect, the resale value will be very high.

I agree that it is kind of dumb to pay 100k and not buy the options package. If you already spent 100k whats an extra 10k?

My friends are telling me to get one.
