Well love him or hate him, columnist Robert Novak is in the news again. This time for a little incident with this black Chevrolet Corvette.
Novak, 77, was issued a $50 citation after hitting a pedestrian while driving in downtown Washington. I’m amazed that it’s only a $50 fine for hitting someone with your car, on purpose or not!
According to new reports, witnesses said the collision occurred at about 10 a.m. today as Novak was traveling near K Street in his black Chevrolet Corvette.
The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with no major injuries, just as a precaution. Novak later told WJLA-TV he was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
My favorite part of the report is the fact that he said he didn’t realize what he had done and continued driving until a bicyclist stopped him. The bicyclist later said that the pedestrian was sprawled across the windshield, so you tell me, what didn’t he realize was going on?
Be careful in your Corvette Bob!
