The National Corvette Museum (NCM) located in Bowling Green, Kentucky has recently announced their plans to begin funding for 70+ acres outside the museum. The museum already offers a wonderful opportunity to learn about the history of Corvettes. But soon, one will also be able to catch a glimpse of Corvettes being tested on a quarter-mile drag strip as well as on a mile and half road course.
In order to acquire the land, the funding project already put in place, deemed “Motorplex Park”, will require nearly $1,060,000 to finance. The land will ultimately consist of a drag strip, road course, and skid pad area for testing a vehicle’s braking systems.
NCM’s Executive Director, Wendell Strode proposes, “We are extremely excited about this opportunity which will broaden our mission and remain grateful for the continual support of the Corvette community.”
We hope to keep you updated as the project continues on.
