April 29th marks the first day of the National Corvette’s Museum annual 3-day C5/C6 Bash. In celebration of event, the first Corvette ever to win a Le Mans race will be on display – a 1960 Cunningham Corvette!
The 1960 Le Mans win ranked Corvette first in the GT class and eight overall. Believe it or not, it wasn’t until 41 years later (2001) that Corvette would win another Le Mans race!
Having this history-making vehicle on display will help fans pause and reflect on the huge strides that Corvette Racing has made not only with Le Mans but with all racing.
The C5/C6 Bash will also be hosting lots of other events for families to see and do, including: road tours, digital scavenger hunt, drag racing, seminars, silent auctions, autograph sessions, poker run, dyno pulls, car show and a fun-filled Margaritaville Banquet party.
