Corvettes are streaming from all over to the National Corvette Museum as I write this evening. Well over five hundred Corvettes are pre-registered for this week’s 17th Anniversary Celebration of the National Corvette Museum.
A wide variety of activities are available to all who register. The Anniversary Celebrations are the context for inducting individuals into the Corvette Hall of Fame. This year, the three inductees are Ron Fellows, Clare MacKichan, and Ray Quinlan. A dinner will provide the appropriate setting for this ceremony.
For those who arrive quickly, the Bowling Green Assembly Plant is open for tours on Thursday only. Separately, there are quite a variety of scenic Kentucky tours, including trips to Shaker Village and Rough River.
There will be seminars on: Racing the Original Z06, Detailing Your Corvette, The Corvette in Literature & Culture, 30+ Years of Building the Corvette, and Introduction to the 2012 Corvette.
There will be a car show, fabulous tours of the Museum itself, and the availablilty of a number of vendors who support the Corvette culture in many ways.
