Competition was fierce when Motor Trend decided to test a slew of vehicles on how quickly they could come to a screeching halt after traveling at 60 mph. The team figured the cars that came to a complete stop in under 100 feet would make their list, hence the “Under 100 Club”.
The Chevrolet Corvette made the list 5 times! Though two cars in particular caught the attention of the team – the 2011 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Carbon Edition and the Porsche GT3 RS. When further examined, both of these cars share a few commonalities: sport-tuned suspensions, carbon-ceramic disc brakes, and super-sticky, barely-street-legal Michelin Pilot Sport Cup race-compound tires.
