At the beginning of the month, we posted that the third oldest Corvette known to be in existence was going to be auctioned later in the month. Auctioneers at RM had predicted that it would bring in the area of $450,000 to $650,000.
Well, almost. The selling price was $445,500, a hair under the prediction range. Hemmings reports that this price did not put the Corvette among the top ten winning bids at this auction!
