What’s yellow, determined and leaving most everyone in the dust? Racecar driver Danny Kellermeyer and his zippy, sunshine-yellow Vette. Kellermeyer, owner of Ortonville-based D.J. Race Enterprise, came in first in two of three races during this past weekend's Showcase races at Waterford Hills Road Racing (WHRRI) Vintage Races in Clarkston.
D.J. Race Enterprise and our Matick Chevy announced a yearlong racing partnership earlier this year — this was one of several where Kellermeyer shone brighter than the sun, making pit crew, Matick Chevy, Corvette afficionados, fans, family and friends super proud. We were especially elated about that sly turn 6 move to jump back into the lead and win Saturday's featured race.
It was a fun time for hundreds. Following Saturday's races, Kellermeyer hosted a raffle for friends and fans at which he and his sponsors gave away great prizes. Everything from gift certificates for $250 worth of Corvette parts and accessories at Matick (Congrats, Jim and Joni Jolley of Commerce Township, MI!) to hats, umbrellas, shirts, coolers and more were passed out to lucky attendees. Kellermeyer loves to involve not only his fans, but all race attendees in gatherings such as this.
