Danny Kellermeyer on one of his recent victory laps.
Our George Matick Chevrolet-sponsored Corvette racecar with driver Danny Kellermeyer is in the running for a championship title.
Kellermeyer has been remarkably successful these past several weeks in his zippy, yellow 2008 'Vette. In fact, he crossed the finish line first in two of three showcase races in Southeast Michigan. "The competition from other Corvettes as well as the other car brands in our class has been relentless," says Kellermeyer, owner of Ortonville, MI-based D.J. Race Enterprise. "I expect this coming weekend will be even tougher.”
Kellermeyer is referring to the Waterford Hills Road Racing race weekend No. 5, which rolls into the Clarkston, MI-based racing facility Sept. 15-16. "The Kellermeyer/Matick Corvette has been running well, and we are presently leading in the race for STO Championship, but still have four races to go," Kellermeyer notes. "The competition has been tough and Corvette driver Jim Bambard is hoping to regain the championship lead." title="Racing Group " rel="lightbox350358"
