At the Corvette unveilings event during the North American International Auto Show media day 1-13-14, Mark Reuss, GM's new global product chief, covered a thousand questions, including the future of the new Z06 Corvette.
"We wanted to talk about the specs of the engine, which we did. But we 're not going to confirm performance quite yet. So there's more to come. We're not done developing the car yet," Reuss said. "So we're taking it to Germany, we taking it to Milford (GM Proving Grounds) and all the different tracks this summer to finish it."
In case you missed the live introduction, catch it here. It's well worth the 15 minutes to hear Reuss talk about this 625 HP monster available in early 2015.
The new C7.R is prepped and ready to make its competitive debut Jan. 25 at the Rolex 24 at the Daytona International Speedway. The C7.R racing machine and the production Z06 street version share many similarities, including the new aluminum frame.
