Corvette Racecar Driver Danny Kellermeyer continued his winning tradition June 28-29 at Grattan Raceway in west Michigan.

The Matick Chevrolet/Corvette Central DJ Race Corvette won both SCCA Regional races at the Grattan track. The weather was beautiful for racing, except for a shower during qualifying.

These two first-place wins placed Kellermeyer, driver of the C6 yellow Matick Chevrolet Corvette, on the podium for all seven of this season’s races in which he has participated. After winning the WHRRI Championship in 2011, 2012 and 2013, Kellermeyer has recorded strong performances during his 2014 competitive schedule.

“Our Corvette racecars have been running good,” said Kellermeyer. “I should be leading the points, but I did not start one race due to low fuel pressure. I was afraid of leaning out the engine and doing damage to it. I’m only a few points behind in second at this time. If everything goes right, I can hopefully take the lead again in the next few races.”

He has five more race events scheduled.

Upcoming Shows: The DJ Race Corvettes -- sponsored by Matick Chevy -- will be displayed at the Aug. 12-16 Back to the Bricks in Flint, Mich., which attracts 500,000 spectators. The event is the same weekend as the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit.

The gigantic Back to the Bricks event supports the Corvette Reunion, which is one of the largest Corvette shows in Midwest. Last year, 35,000 cars of all types were on display throughout downtown Flint.
