Let the Last Cycle Begin...
Well after 11 months of ordering the 2008 model year Corvette, today we embark on the final cycle for the year. Today Chevrolet dealers across the country received their final allocation figures for the 2008 model year, which we will order over the next 4 weeks. All sold orders for customers must be in this week by April 25th, while dealers will still have 3 weeks to order for stock.
The production period for vehicles ordered during this cycle is May 19th - June 20th. On June 20th, all production will cease at the factory, there will be a 3 day window where no builds will take place as they prepare for the 2009 model year production to begin on June 23rd.
With lackluster sales figures overall, the 2009 Corvette and ZR1 are highly anticipated vehicles. Perhaps the change in colors and updated various options will drive sales higher come summer.
