Meet Corvette's New Boss
Winding Road posted their January issue today, and there is a real treat for us Corvette enthusiasts!
In an article entitled "Meet the New Boss," contest winners have their say in determining the direction for the new C7 Corvette. It's a must read!
In addition, there is a great video of Corvette's new boss meeting the Corvette Racing Team at Laguna Seca this past October.
Here's a link to the video, unfortunately they won't let you embed it: Corvette Video
I would like the C7 body to say something.
All that hi-tech suspension and muscle under the hood doesn't catch any ones eye when you go down the road.
I'm really tired of the flat rear end which has been there since 1968, and I really don't care if it performs well in a wind tunnel because the speed I'm forced to drive at will not utilize that.
GM stylist have been too conservative and need to put a body on the corvette which sets it apart from other cars and says Look at ME like the 63 stingray did forty five years ago.
Only corvette people can recognize one, most others can't tell one from a Toyota.
Remember when you saw a vette on the road and you knew it was one, now you have to wait till it gets close enough to make sure.
I want a corvette which is wild,only car like it,not mundane !
I think that time has come and overdue, who knows the C8 might have to be electric and there's a scary thought.

You can tell guys from OLD SCHOOL when they "speak" Corvette. Seems we have lost the art of eye catching appear and uniqueness that was the Vette Hallmark from day one. I suspect the computer is to blame for a lot of this---worrying about wind-tunnels results, etc. Put the human designer back in the drivers seat---let us see what new look the wonderful world of imagination can give us.
