Woodward Dream Cruise Report 1
This year's Woodward Dream Cruise is over, but the memories linger. What a beautiful day; the weather could not be improved on. But as soon as it was over at 9PM, the rains came!
I parked near Coolidge and Woodward (for free, just one block from $20 parking), and basically walked north to 15 Mile Road, left for a burger with friends at Grumpy's in Clawson, returned to the Chevrolet exhibit in the Birmingham triangle, and walked back to my car.
In so doing, I saw everything that I will blog about, plus more. I saw new GM product like the HHR Turbo SS; the Pontiac G8; a bevy of Transformer Movie cars (that didn't transform, by the way); new Corvettes in Jetstream Blue Metallic Tintcoat and Crystal Red Metallic Tintcoat (pictured below), many, many classic Corvettes; the awesome AutoZone bookstore in Birmingham; and last (and least) a Volkswagen Microbus (pictured) that had been chopped in half and made into a pool table!
I think a great day was had by all! Not bad when 1.2 million people or more get together to enjoy their favorite pastime.
