Oliver Gavin to Race Corvette C6.R in FIA GT1 World Championship
Oliver Gavin, a racing British driver and four-time American Le Mans Series class champion, will be apart of the driver lineup for the world championship of car racing, set to begin soon. Gavin will drive a Corvette C6.R for Mad Croc Racing on eight of the 10 scheduled races in the FIA GT1 World Championship.
The FIA GT1 World Championship will hold 10 events in 10 countries on four continents. A maximum of six car manufacturers have entered the series, which include Aston Martin, Corvette, Ford, Lamborghini, Maserati and Nissan.

Gavin will be teamed together with Finland's Pertti Kuismanen. Mika Salo will stand in for Gavin on a couple races due to Gavin’s prior ALMS Corvette racing commitments.
"I'm looking forward and am intrigued to see how it will evolve, and it'll be good to be racing against the likes of top-line drivers such as Darren [Turner] and Tomas [Enge], reprising our ALMS battles from a few years ago,” said Gavin.
