Those months of driving in the American Le Mans Series are paying off for the Corvette Racing Team. It was hard to not want Aston Martin – or anyone for that matter – to show up to give our boys a run for the money.
Of course, no one showed up most of the time, but the wisdom in running without competition is coming to light. Reports from Le Mans indicate that the Corvette Racing Team is in better shape than ever to take on other marques this weekend.
Qualifying is next, on Wednesday and Thursday. The race itself, The 24 Hours of Le Mans, starts at 3 p.m. local time in France (9 a.m. EDT) on Saturday, June 16 and finishes at 3 p.m. (9 a.m. EDT) on Sunday, June 17. SPEED will televise 17.5 hours of coverage in North America starting at 8:30 a.m. EDT on June 16.
