Automobile Magazine recently announced their 2008 All-Star Awards. Every year, the editors of the magazine test and evaluate cars that make the greatest impact. They say “These ten cars are the year’s most exciting cars, our picks for the vehicles we’d most like to personally own in our dream garage." This year’s list includes the 2008 Chevrolet Corvette.
Here’s what the editors say about the 2008 Vette: "Evolutionary improvements keep the Vette in a class of its own. The revised 2008 edition does the 0-to-60-mph sprint in 4.3 seconds—with an automatic transmission. There are faster new cars than the Corvette, but all of them cost a lot more."
While the review could have been a little more complimentary (in my mind), at least the Corvette ranks as an All-Star as it should.
Other vehicles named to the All-Star list include the all new Chevy Malibu, Infinity G37/G35, Volvo C30, Mazda CX-9, Volkswagen GTI, BMW 3 Series, Mercedes Benz S Class, Lotus Elise, and the Porsche Boxster /Cayman.
The January 2008 issue of the magazine that includes the story on the 2008 All-Stars hits newsstands on December 4th.
