Rumor has it – General Motors might bring its Chevrolet Corvette to India sometime in the future.
Timothy E. Lee, GM’s president of international operations, has reported discussing plans of selling small numbers of popular models (ie: Corvette, Camaro) internationally to small boutiques in India.
Other car manufacturers, like Nissan and Porsche, are also looking to tap into this untouched international demographic. Mercedes and Honda have recently displayed vehicles at the Delhi Auto Expo, though nothing is known about whether they will sell to the Indian market.
You would think with a population of 1.17 billion, these automakers would be crazy not to sell to this market.
