Consumer Reports: Best-built vehicles

This February in their 2010 annual auto issue, Consumer Reports announced that Honda and Subaru were the best all-around vehicles for American drivers.

That’s not to say that other vehicle models didn’t test well too. Among American-made vehicles, a number new GM models were among the best in the magazine’s testing.

These models included:

  • Buick Enclave
  • Buick LaCrosse
  • Cadillac CTS
  • Chevrolet Corvette
  • Equinox
  • GMC Acadia
  • Malibu
  • Traverse

Others tried to compete, but fell short. Ford, Mercury and Lincoln didn’t match up with the best performers and ended up just mid-pack. Chrysler continued to fare poorly and held worse rankings this year than last.
