The Highway Loss Data Institute (HLDI), an affiliate of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), provides consumers with comparative loss information on vehicles. In truth, this information helps consumers make more informed choices when choosing an appropriate and safe vehicle.
The recently released findings accounts for vehicles built between 2007 and 2009. All vehicles are separated according to size, dividing the losses into six categories:
- Property damage
- Personal injury
- Medical payments
- Bodily injury
The results showed that the Convertible Chevrolet Corvette, Mazda Miata and Hardtop Chevrolet Corvette made the TOP 3 vehicles with the LOWEST INSURANCE LOSES. All sports cars, interesting eh? As for the opposite, the Mitsubishi Lancer, Cadillac Escalade EXT and Scion tC were all linked as vehicles with the HIGHEST INSURANCE LOSES.
Check out the ratings for yourself. Do you thing these findings are accurate?
