Folks, it is not as crazy here at the GM Nationals as it is at Corvettes at Carlisle in August of every summer. I'm working on the theory that many of those who attend this event find themselves at work on Fridays, especially hot, sticky, and wet Fridays like today.
Unlike Corvettes at Carlisle, GM Nationals welcomes GM cars and trucks of every stripe. While Corvettes are welcome here, it is muscle cars that are in abundance, plus there are El Caminos, a Caballero, an HHR, and an SSR, mostly customized and looking fine.
Saturday has to be the day for this event! We shall see. I'm hanging out at the Callaway Cars exhibit in what is called Manufacturer's Midway. We're just down the path from the GM Performance 18 wheeler.
Together, we have a Silver Silverado Extended Cab 1500 SC450, the Cyber Gray Metallic Camaro SC572 I brought from Michigan, and the factory's amazing Crystal Red Tintcoat SC606 Corvette that now has 122,000 miles on it!
If you are in the neighborhood, please stop by. We are having a drawing for a $250 Visa Gift Card after the show.
