We at George Matick Chevrolet in metro Detroit are gearing up early for Corvette’s 60th birthday next year with a special “Corvette Open House,” 5-8 p.m., Sept. 26. We invite Corvette aficionados (current and wannabe owners) to join in on the fun with a trunkful of activities.
On tap are test-drive opportunities, delicious fare for fueling up your own engine, and special appearances by Corvette racecar driver Danny Kellermeyer of Ortonville-based D.J. Enterprise. Visitors will be able to rev up and take a spin in a pretty coupe, convertible and Callaway performance ‘Vette. Special presentations (visit the blog again next week for information on specific presentation topics), poster giveaways, drawings for Corvette-related gifts and more round out the fun.
