What a line up for the 2014 “Corvettes in the D!”

Atlantic and Pacific model Corvettes, the Corvette Racing Trailer with the C7.R Corvette and Indy frame display, autograph sessions and posters, on-going seminars by Corvette mechanic Paul Koener and Brittany George, a Pratt Miller C6.R display, and more showcase the Saturday, June 14 “Corvettes in the D.”

The second annual event, which attracted more than 300 Corvettes last year, spreads out along the Detroit River at the GM World Headquarters in Detroit. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"You won't find this collection of GM's new and special Corvettes in one spot anywhere else," reports Larry Courtney, coordinator for this year's event. He also is captain of the Michigan/Indiana/Western Kentucky Corvette Caravan this August to the National Corvette Musuem

Corvette owners are invited to show their cars, which will be displayed in the east GM parking lot along the beautiful Detroit Riverfront, the world’s busiest international waterway.

A George Matick Chevrolet van will shuttle Corvette fans between the event site and the Renaissance Center, where participants can visit the GM vehicle displays inside the Ren Cen.

A $10 entry donation is encouraged with proceeds going to the National Corvette Museum and the 2014 Michigan/Indiana/Western Kentucky National Corvette Caravan.

Andiamo Pizza is the food vendor. A commemorative dash plaque will be presented to the first 300 Corvettes.
